To help raise awareness about the importance of water quality, The Royal Australian Mint and Landcare Australia combined to produce this very special 1993 coin set.
It's unique centrepiece is a new one dollar coin, feathing Vladimir Gottwald's Stylised reverse design of a tree formed out of flowing waters. This symbolises the extremely important relationshipbetween our waterways and the environment.

The proof coins in this set are struck from hand polished dies, using blanks with a smooth, bright surface. The resultant coin is a masterpiece of flawless beauty with the flat surface of the coin projecting a mirror-like finish and the raised design delicately frosted. Once minting is complete, all dies are destroyed.
